Thirsk Falcons Junior player Max Lawson has been chosen to star in the Premier League’s first ever advertising campaign!
13 year old Max from Thirsk, is an accomplished freestyle footballer and has played for Falcons Juniors for 5 years. He has played for York City and Middlesbrough FC development centres plus represents Thirsk School in the Hambleton and Richmondshire u13s area team. Max has previously won freestyle competitions where he was lucky enough to meet presenter and freestyle world record holder Dan Magness!
Max was selected to appear in the film through his agent John Farnworth who is also a professional football freestyler. Max was approached by John in January and worked together on his audition clips.
The new national education programme Premier League Primary Stars aims to use football to inspire a strong work ethic and an interest in core subjects such as English and Maths.
This is the Premier League’s first national advertising campaign and will air from Sunday 2 April across television, cinema, and social media channels in the UK. https://www.premierleague.com/news/356435
Max’s parents, Michelle and Scott Lawson said “We are extremely proud of Max and his dedication to freestyling. He had an amazing day filming in Liverpool and an overnight stay in a hotel. John Farnworth is a fantastic role model for Max”.
