How & When to Register
Thirsk Falcons – Junior Teams
To ensure new players feel welcome and enjoy their football new players are offered a few weeks free trial with their respective age group team. After a successful trial we would ask the player to register for the club and we will then register for the respective league.

Registration Prices
Membership Fees will only be £5 per week x 52 weeks with a 20% discount for additional siblings, all subject to 1-year membership.
Membership Fees will be taken by GoCardless (DD) every four weeks at £20
But this WILL INCLUDE EVERYTHING, training kit, playing kit, Tracksuit, winter evening training, qualified coaches, player insurance and registrations to respective leagues and team affiliation.
All fines are player or parents’ responsibility and will be added to the following month’s DD!

Thirsk Falcons FC utilise the 3G Pitch at the newly constructed Sowerby Sports Village, the club house due to open prior to the 2023 / 24 season.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How do we register our child / children to play football?
The quickest way to register your interest is to use the contact for on the website detailing the age group of your child and providing a form of contact, ideally a mobile number. One of our volunteers will be in contact to start the process and start your child’s football journey.
- How old does my child have to be to play football?
Thirsk Falcons works in partnership currently with York City FC to run our Fledglings Football, the sessions are run for 3-5 year olds before the players progress into an U7 team and start looking at structured developement league football.
- When are matches played?
Depending on the league for the age group games will be played on either a Saturday or Sunday. Senior games are played on Saturday afternoons with some midweek games. Our Veterans team play their games on Sunday afternoons. All home games are played at the Sowerby Sports Village.
- Who do I contact within the club for information?
The Club is run completely by volunteers, our new managment committee consists of the following people.

- How can I register my child?
Complete the registration form at at the top of the page and submit – our Treasurer will contact you after receiving the form to setup the registration fee subscription.
- What paperwork do I need to register my child to play football?
When submitting the registration form you will need to create a FAN number for an emergency contact and link this to the childs FAN Number and account. Proof of age (copy or birth certificate or passport) will be also required for submitting to the relevant league and a recent passport photo.

Thirsk Falcons look to develop each player to maximise their potential – with teams from U7 all the way through to our Veterans Team we cater for all. Thirsk Falcons are increasing the amount of girls teams within the club and looking at the pathways for progression with of our soon to be formed women’s team.
